Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets. As is our tradition, we will be collecting food for Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets for families in need through Catholic Charities. The list of needed food items will be in the back of the sanctuary next Sunday, Oct. 27. There will also be a sign-up sheet for turkey donations.
Non-perishable food items (such as canned goods) will be due by Sunday, Nov. 17. Perishable food items and turkeys need to be brought in on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Grocery Bags Needed. The Catholic Charities Food Pantry is in need of plastic and paper grocery bags. The bags may be left in the Catholic Charities box in the back of sanctuary.
New Year’s Bible Challenge. Members and friends of the Stewartsville Presbyterian Church are encouraged to read the New Testament throughout the course of 2019.
During the month of October, we are reading Hebrew and James.
Family Promise Open House. Family Promise of Warren County will host an Open House at their Day Center this Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 p.m. The Day Center is located at
65A Washington Avenue, Oxford, NJ.
Tours will be given of the facility and refreshments will be served.

Fall Women’s Retreat. A Fall Women’s Retreat, “I Called You
By Name,” will be held from Friday to Saturday, Nov. 1-2, at Camp Johnsonburg.
Women of all ages will gather for a weekend of reflection, rejuvenation and recreation. You may also attend for a day retreat on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The cost is $125 for Friday night through Saturday, including meals and lodging. The day retreat is $45, which includes lunch and dinner on Saturday.

Pray for This Week’s Mission Partner: Johnsonburg Camp & Retreat Center. In 1959, Johnsonburg Camp & Retreat Center was established to provide experiential Christian education in support of the Presbyterian Church in New Jersey. Today, Camp Johnsonburg continues to provide a place set apart where all people can experience God’s love within a welcoming Christian community. Stewartsville Presbyterian Church has been supporting Johnsonburg Camp & Retreat Center since it was first established.
Children’s Activity Bins. There are Children’s Activity Bins in the back of the sanctuary. These contain a variety of activities. We ask that they please be put back at the end of the worship service.
Hike at Merrill Creek. This Saturday, Oct. 26, children, youth, and adults are invited to hike with us at Merrill Creek. We will meet at the church at 8:45 a.m.

Presbytery Youth Gathering. All middle and high schoolers are invited to a Presbytery Youth Gathering on Sunday, Nov. 3, at the First Presbyterian Church of Whippany. The event will include games, outreach, and worship. Dinner will be provided.
Bring a friend, a pack of socks or travel-sized toiletries, and help us make care totes for our homeless community in New Jersey.
Transportation will be provided. We will meet at the church at
4:00 p.m. and should be back by 9:00 p.m.
