Deacons’ Offering. During the month of August, we are receiving a special offering to support the work and ministry of our Deacons. Please use the envelope in your offering box, or write a check and note “Deacons” on the memo line.
Summer Singing. All men of the church are asked to join us this morning for the annual singing of “How Great Thou Art.” This has become a summer tradition, and we look forward to the men’s enthusiastic participation.
Next Sunday, Aug. 25, during the 10:00 a.m. worship service, all women of the church will be invited to come forward and join in singing “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” No experience or rehearsal is necessary – please join us in making a joyful noise unto the Lord!
Regular Worship Schedule. We will return to our regular worship service schedule on Sunday, Sept. 8, with worship service at
10:30 a.m., and Sunday School for children and youth at 9:20 a.m.
Sunday School Teachers/Helpers. There will be a meeting for the Sunday School Teachers and Helpers after church next Sunday, Aug. 25.
We also need a helper in the Beginners Classroom during the upcoming Sunday School year.

Rally Day. On Sunday, Sept. 8, the first day of Sunday School for ages 3 through high school, we will meet at 9:20 a.m. in the large classroom.
Our theme this year is “Loving God, Loving Neighbor.”
Parents: Please come in with your child/children to update and sign last year’s registration form. If you did not fill out a registration form last year, we will have forms available that you will need to complete the first day your child attends Sunday School.
The adult Sunday School class will begin Sunday, Sept. 15, in the church library. We will continue our study of the book of Genesis.
Rally Day Pot Luck Lunch. The Rally Day Pot Luck Lunch will be held after the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Sept. 8.
In addition to the lunch, there will be outdoor activities including a bounce house.
Please see the insert in today’s bulletin to sign up to attend the Pot Luck Lunch. Help is also needed with set up and clean up.
Pray for This Week’s Mission Partner: Newton Presbytery. Newton Presbytery is the regional expression of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in Northwest New Jersey which includes the counties of Morris, Sussex, Warren, and Hunterdon. The community of the Presbytery of Newton includes 59 congregations and one worshipping faith community. The Presbytery community supports and encourages the ministries and mission of all its congregations. Mission emphasis includes local ministries of feeding and sheltering the poor and homeless, responding to disaster, interfaith relationships, peacemaking, and international mission.
New Year’s Bible Challenge. Members and friends of the Stewartsville Presbyterian Church are encouraged to read the entire New Testament throughout the course of 2019.
During the month of August, we are reading Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians.
Office Access. The blue door on the side of the Christian Education wing is now locked during office hours (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.). If you need to enter the building, please press the call button to the right of the door, and identify yourself. A staff member will come and let you into the building.
Children’s Activity Bins. There are Children’s Activity Bins in the back of the sanctuary. These contain a variety of activities. We ask that they please be put back at the end of the worship service.
