New Members. Today, we are excited to welcome the following new
members into the life and ministry of the Stewartsville Presbyterian
Church: Judy Melchore, Betty Patton and Walter Patton.
Women of the Church Sing. All women of the church are invited
today to join in singing “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” No experience or
rehearsal is necessary – please join us in lifting our voices to the
Meals on Wheels. Volunteers from our church are delivering Meals
on Wheels from Monday through Friday this week, Aug. 14-18.
If you are interested in helping with Meals on Wheels, please speak
with Pastor Stephen.
Theology on Tap. Theology on Tap is an opportunity for gathering
together outside of church for a casual time of fellowship and
conversations. Our next meeting is Thursday, Aug. 24, at 6:00 p.m.

Deacons’ Offering. During the month of August we are receiving a
special offering to support the work and ministry of our Deacons.
Please use the envelope in your offering box, or write a check and
note “Deacons” on the memo line.
Blood Drive. In conjunction with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center,
we will be sponsoring a blood drive from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at
the church on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Rally Day Pot Luck Lunch. We will have a Pot Luck Lunch on
Sunday, Sept. 10, after the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Please see
the insert in today’s bulletin for more information.
Friday Morning Men’s Group. We would like to start a Men’s
Group that would meet early on Friday mornings, before work, for a
time of study and fellowship. The group will meet at Panera.
The exact meeting time and frequency of meetings will be
determined by the participants.

Stated Clerk of the PC(USA). The Stated Clerk of the PC(USA),
the Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, will be speaking to the Newton
Presbytery on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Fairmount
Presbyterian Church, 247 Old Turnpike Road, Califon.
He will speak on issues such as the new worshiping communities
around the denomination and anti-racism efforts. There will be an
opportunity for questions and answers. If you are interested in
attending, please speak with Pastor Stephen.
Hospice Volunteer Classes. The Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice will
hold Hospice Volunteer classes for those interested in becoming a
volunteer. Seven consecutive classes will be held on Tuesday and
Friday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, beginning Sept. 5
and concluding with graduation on Sept. 26.
Upon completion, participants will be Certified Hospice Volunteers.

Established in 1988, the mission of UrbanPromise is to equip
Camden’s children and young adults with the skills necessary for
academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth, and
Christian leadership. To learn more about UrbanPromise, visit their
Community Garden. Vegetables are growing in our Community
Garden! Produce from our garden is donated to the NORWESCAP
Food Bank and shared with our neighbors.
Volunteers are needed to help with the garden now through
September. You may sign up for one or more weeks and come to
the garden 3-4 times during the week to water, weed and deliver ripe
produce to the Food Bank.
There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the back of the sanctuary.
