Visitors are always welcome at Stewartsville Presbyterian, and we pray that our worship service will be a blessing in your life. If you would like for us to contact you, please fill out a Visitor’s Card (located in the pew rack) and place it in the offering plate. Or if you prefer, simply send us an email.
Welcome. Thank you for choosing to worship with us today. We
invite you to sign the pew pad as they are being passed. We hope
that the service is a blessing to you, and we look forward to seeing
you again soon.
Time for Fellowship. Please join us for a Time for Fellowship today
after our worship service. This is an informal time where we can
share refreshments and conversations with one another.
Prospective New Members. If you are interested in learning more
about the Stewartsville Presbyterian Church or how to become a
member, please contact the church office, or speak with Pastor
Food on the First. On the first Sunday of each month, everyone is
encouraged to bring in food donations for the Catholic Charities
Food Pantry in Phillipsburg. There is a box in the back of the
sanctuary where the food may be placed. At this time, the food
pantry is in particular need of peanut butter and jelly, tuna fish,
spaghetti sauce, packets of side dishes (rice, noodles, pasta, etc.),
and any canned meats.
Adult Lunch Group. “Grazing with Grace,” the Adult Lunch Group,
will meet on Thursday, July 13, at 11:30 a.m. at Olive Garden Italian
Restaurant, 50 Kunkle Drive, Easton, PA. We encourage
participants to bring a can of soup or $1 to the lunch to donate to
NORWESCAP Food Bank.
If you plan to attend the luncheon, please call Don and Louisa Miers
at 908-859- 0277, by Monday, July 10, to make your reservation.
Also, contact Don or Louisa if you need a ride or directions to the
Father’s Day Breakfast. Our Annual Father’s Day Breakfast was
held last Sunday, June 18. We had more than 40 people attend, and
a variety of delicious food. Thanks so much to everyone who came
to help out and to those who donated food.
Devotionals. The new issues of the daily devotionals “Today” and
the large-print edition of “Our Daily Bread” are available on the table
in the back of the sanctuary.
Presbyterian Depot. A collaborative mission partnership of Old
Greenwich, Pilgrim, Westminster, Second Oxford, and Stewartsville
Presbyterian Church. Our mission is to provide kitchen items to the
clients and families of Family Promise and Domestic Abuse &
Sexual Assault Crisis Center. When these individuals and families
move to a new place to live, many have virtually nothing to start with.
This year, Stewartsville Presbyterian Church will be responsible for
collecting new pots and pans, glassware, and cups.
Pray for this Week’s Mission Partners: Synod of the Northeast.
The Synod of the Northeast consists of eight states (Connecticut,
Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York,
Rhode Island, and Vermont) and has 22 presbyteries and over 1,130
Gospel communities. The mission of the Synod is to provide
unencumbered spaces for the Holy Spirit to move among us,
breathing new life into us, and strengthening us to work for the realm
and reign of God. For more information about the work and ministry
of our Synod, go to synodne.org
Mission Camp 2017 will be held this Monday through Friday,
June 26-30. Children entering 1st through 8th grade will explore the
world of missions, as we learn how to be God’s hands and feet in
our own community.
Registration forms are available on the table in the back of the
sanctuary – We would like everyone to be registered before Mission
Camp begins. Please be sure to join us!
We are still in need of adult and youth volunteers for our Mission
Camp, particularly in the mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Please see Laura Choi if you are available and willing to help!
Volunteers are needed to help drive, cook meals with the children,
walk dogs, plant vegetables, supervise food sorting at the food bank,
and help with other mission projects.
Baked goods are needed for a fundraising project the Mission Camp
children will be doing. The kids will have a Lemonade and Bake Sale
daily to raise money for one of their friends, who is battling brain
cancer. Individually wrapped/packaged baked goods will be
accepted June 25-29, today through Thursday, of Mission Camp
We are also accepting donations for hand trowels, gardening gloves
of various sizes, and common vegetable plants for Family Promise
of Warren County.
There will be a meeting for all Mission Camp volunteers after
the worship service today in the church library.
Thank you all for the giving of your time, talents, and resources!
