Welcome. Thank you for choosing to worship with us today. We invite you to sign the pew pad as they are being passed. Restrooms are located downstairs in Roan Hall. We hope that the service is a blessing to you, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Elder on Call. Pastor Stephen will be on vacation from June 17 through June 30. If you are in need of pastoral care while he is away, please contact the following Elder on Call:
Fred Gary at 908-454-6311.
Meals on Wheels. Volunteers from our church are delivering Meals on Wheels from Monday through Friday this week, 6/17-6/21. If you are interested in helping with Meals on Wheels, please speak with Pastor Stephen.
Deacons’ Offering. During the month of June, we are receiving a special offering to support the work and ministry of our Deacons. Please use the envelope in your offering box, or write a check and note “Deacons” on the memo line.
Pot Luck Breakfast. Last Sunday, June 9, the Fellowship Committee hosted a Pot Luck Breakfast before the worship service. We had a great turnout – more than 50 people! The food was delicious and we all enjoyed great conversations.
Mission Fridays 2019. Instead of Mission Camp Week, this summer we will hold Mission Fridays. Mission Fridays 2019 will be held on Fridays, July 12, July 26, Aug. 2, Aug. 9, and Aug. 16. The theme is “Loving God by Serving God’s People.” Children will explore the world of missions, as we learn how to be God’s hands and feet in our own community.
Children entering grades 1-8 in the fall will attend Mission Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will participate in a variety of mission projects. Children may attend all of the Fridays, or just one or two.
Teenagers entering ninth grade and older are welcome to be helpers. Adult helpers are also needed. Please see the insert in today’s bulletin for information about signing up to help.
Registration forms are available in the back of the sanctuary, or by calling the church office. We are requesting that all children be registered before they start Mission Fridays.
For more information on Mission Fridays, please contact Laura Choi at 717-599-9875.
Mission Trip Meeting. There will be a Mission Trip Meeting on Sunday, July 7 after the 10:00 a.m. worship service. The meeting will be held in the church library. All those going on the Mission Trip should attend the meeting.
E-Mail Version of Newsletter. Tired of receiving so much mail? Would you like to receive the newsletter a few days earlier?
We can e-mail a pdf of the newsletter to you! (This also saves the church the cost of postage.)
Contact the church office at [email protected] and let us know that you would like to receive the newsletter at your e-mail address.
Pray for This Week’s Mission Partner: The Presbyterian Depot. The Presbyterian Depot is a collaborative mission partnership of Old Greenwich, Pilgrim, Westminster, Second Oxford, and Stewartsville Presbyterian Church. Our mission is to provide kitchen items to the clients and families of Family Promise and Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center. When these individuals and families move to a new place to live, many have virtually nothing to start with.
New Year’s Bible Challenge. Members and friends of the Stewartsville Presbyterian Church are encouraged to read the entire New Testament throughout the course of 2019.
During the month of June, we are reading Romans.
Summer Offering. Please remember the church during the summer months. If you are on vacation, please consider mailing your offering to the church office, or contributing online while you are away.
Online Giving. To support and give to the Stewartsville Presbyterian Church, go to the church’s website, www.stewartsvillepc.org. There you will find a “Give Now” button. Donations can be made using a credit card, debit card, checking account, or savings account.
Children’s Activity Bins. There are Children’s Activity Bins in the back of the sanctuary. These contain a variety of activities. We ask that they please be put back at the end of the worship service.
